Managing the corporate tax compliance for the group in support of the Head of Tax.
Working in conjunction with the Head of Tax to advise the group on tax strategy in the UK and in global subsidiaries.

It is a world leader in producing animal genetics that can facilitate farmers to produce meat that is of a higher quality and is farmed significantly more sustainably. Through innovations in breeding they are able to minimise harmful farming practices, the use of antibiotics, the cost to the consumer and the impact on the environment.
Description
- Responsible for the preparation and submission of HMRC tax computations for UK companies
- Responsible for calculating UK on account corporate tax payments and any other UK corporate returns/filings and requests for information with HMRC.
- Responsible for answering any correspondence received from HMRC relating to the corporation tax affairs of the UK group
- Responsible for managing the preparation and filing of tax returns for certain overseas subsidiaries
- Year end group reporting - responsible for the preparation of the UK company reporting packs, UK group plan, IFRS adjustments and assisting on other aspects on an ad hoc basis as required by Head of Group Tax
- Half year reporting - responsible for the calculation of accounting profits by legal entity and tax adjustments for the effective rate and for tax calculations on IFRS adjustments.
- Review of tax notes in UK subsidiaries financial statements
- Working with HR and Operational staff on the corporate tax implications of cross border employee transfers or new hires
- Assisting Head of Tax on any tax projects undertaken, working with outside advisers.
- Calculation of worldwide management charge for Group entities
- Calculation of Bovine division transfer pricing required for Transactional Net Margin Returns
Profile
- Ability to manage own time, juggle tasks and competing deadlines
- Ability to work with colleagues throughout the whole business and across all grades
- Comfortable with working on own on tax technical matters
- UK Corporate Technical Tax knowledge, including group and international tax aspects
- Alphatax tax software knowledge desirable but not essential
- Previous experience in the Permanent Establishment & related compliance impacts of cross-border moves and assignments
- Working VAT knowledge would be an asset to help with ad hoc queries and provide supporting technical advice to operating entities (the role does not include responsibility for VAT compliance)
Qualifications
- ICAEW tax or CIOT qualification at least 2 years post qualification
- Manager or Senior Manager level in an accountancy practice or industry

- 10% discretionary bonus (split 60% based on group performance and 40% based on individual performance)
