Financial Controller required for growing SME business based in Mid Kent.

Client Details

Growing SME business based in Mid Kent looking for a new financial controller to join their team.

Description

  • Produce management accounts for the shareholders of the group of companies to support the running and control of the successful overall business;
  • Monthly Reconciliations (including Balance Sheet and control accounts, stock returns, goods received and bank reconciliation for the bank accounts in question);
  • Adjustments on an ad hoc basis as and when required by journal;
  • Petty cash and expenses processing;
  • Capitalisation and depreciation of all assets as and when necessary and providing the correct calculations and basis on which to do this;
  • Ensuring reliable financial controls are in place and adhered to;
  • Preparing and posting monthly journals including: accruals, prepayments, depreciation, work-in-progress (WIP) and deferred income; providing back-up schedules and prepare and post ad hoc journals, including intercompany transactions;
  • Prepare accurate monthly financial results for the business, including detailed P & L accounts. Analyse variances in results and provide feedback to Board in a timely manner;
  • Produce accurate annual budgets for income and costs, and update forecasts regularly, as necessary;
  • Monthly business reviews with group Company, department managers and other non-financial staff;

Profile

Candidates for this role ideally will be qualified (they will consider QBE with significant relevant experience). Experience working for an SME business in a number 1 in finance role.

Job Offer

The Financial Controller is paying £55-60,000 plus other benefits.
