Financial Analyst – Property Investment Advisory Business

Are you a Financial Analyst looking to work for a boutique London-based commercial property investment and development advisory business? Are you looking to utilise your analytical and financial modelling skills in a newly created and high profile role in an entrepreneurial and boutique consultancy business which advises its clients on how to maximise returns on investments in the UK commercial property market? Do you have experience working in an investment context eg property investment companies, private equity, family office, debt fund business etc? Based in a small yet growing team and reporting directly to the CFO and Senior Management Team, your role will include the following duties: prepare and monitor budgets for various areas of the business, preparing MS excel-based financial models to enable financial decision-making, maintaining ownership of all financial modelling and reconciling financial models monthly to bank accounts and accounting data. You will also assist with investment evaluations including: assessing merits and risks of investments, preparing investment papers and project management of investment transactions. Your role will also include assessing the tax implications of investments, maintaining good relations with the external firm of accountants, review the statutory and management accounts prepared by the external accountants, assist the CFO with internal changes in the business, including advising and implementing improvements to financial systems, controls and procedures. Overall your role will be varied and challenging with ad hoc projects regularly undertaken. The firm also offer flexi / hybrid working, allowing staff to work 3 days in the office and 2 days from home. The firm are based in modern offices in an easily accessible location in Zone 1 Central London.

To be considered for this new role (September 2022) you must be a qualified ACA or CFA, with post qualification experience. You must have experience of the above duties and have a strong track record of financial modelling with advanced use of excel to prepare models which management can confidently rely on. It is likely you will currently be working as a Financial Analyst and be looking for your next challenge. Experience working in an investment context would be a huge advantage, so you might have experience working for a property investment company, private equity firm, family office, debt fund business etc. Experience working in a real estate related businesses or financial institution including development and / or investments would be an advantage although not essential. It would also be desirable if you had experience of advising on changing corporate structures and the various implications of these changes. You must be a team player and have an eye for detail.
