Finance Manager Role - Growing Manufacturing Group - Permanent - Based in Gloucester, Gloucestershire - Hays

Hays Accountancy & Finance are partnering exclusively with a well-established and growing manufacturing group to recruit for a dynamic and hands-on Finance Manager, based at their Gloucester, Gloucestershire site. This is a varied and permanent accounting position reporting directly into the Head of Finance, the position offers lots of scope and opportunity as the business develops and grows further. The role will involve a variety of accounting duties from management accounts preparation, financial controls, weekly/monthly reporting to business partnering and process improvement projects. This exciting Finance Manager role would be most suited to a newly qualified or finalist finance professional, candidates qualified by experience will be considered.

Your new role

Your key duties will involve preparation of management accounts, working capital analysis, stock movements and commentary on operational/commercial performance. You will provide reconciliations for all key balance sheet accounts with commentary on movements, fixed asset register, stock takes/cycle counts, revenue recognition along with being involved in VAT, ONS returns and assistance with internal audit. You will support the Head of Finance with monitoring group financial controls and focus on internal working capital/cash balances. You will produce weekly sales reports, cash flow forecasts, weekly operational checks and business partner with other departments supporting budgets/forecasts processes and AP/AR functions.

What you'll need to succeed

To be considered for this hands-on and varied Finance Manager position, you will need experience within a similar role, strong MS excel and IT skills, along with having key communication skills to build internal/external relationships at all levels. You will be used to managing workloads and meeting deadlines and be a quick learner with an analytical mind. Ideally you will be a qualified accountant (CIMA/ACCA/ACA) or part-qualified working towards full completion, candidates qualified by experience will be considered. Experience within the manufacturing/engineering sector and within an SME, would be advantageous but not essential.

What you'll get in return

This permanent Finance Manager role is offering a salary between £40,000 - £45,000 per annum, dependable on experience based in Gloucester, Gloucestershire. Remote/Office hybrid working offered and the opportunity to develop and add value in a growing and leading Manufacturing Group.
