EXCITING FIRST TIME MOVER OPPORTUNITY | Finance Manager | Birmingham | Permanent | Competitive salary + bonus

Your new company
Our client are a private equity backed organisation with the group worth over £700mil, which has continued to grow year on year over the past 5 years. They are looking for an enthusiastic Finance Manager to be their number 1 in Finance for their Birmingham office.


Your new role
This is a great all-round finance role where you will be responsible for management and financial reporting for Group Services, Central Services, Ireland and Australia, delivering compliance with statutory and legislative requirements and ensuring the accuracy of information produced by your team. Some of the key responsibilities include:

  • Line manager to 4 team members (2 management accountants, 1 AP supervisor and 1 cash allocation clerk)
  • Preparation of board packs for monthly board meetings
  • Review of monthly group reporting packs
  • Leading on the budget process for Group Services, Central Services, Ireland and Australia
  • Management of UK, Ireland and Australia treasury function including preparation of the 13 week forecast;
  • Preparation of company tax returns supported by our third-party advisors and the financial controller
  • Preparation of the year end statutory financial statements
  • Financial modelling, when requested



What you'll need to succeed
You will be an ACA, ACCA or CIMA Qualified Accountant with excellent communication skills who has the ability and motivation to work remotely. This is an amazing opportunity for someone looking to make their first move out of practice into Industry and gain exposure to a variety of finance functions. You will be confident taking a lead and be advanced on excel. You will also be able to think innovatively and have the drive to improve processes and gain efficiencies.

There are clear progression pathways to see you be Financial Controller within 2 years of being with the business. Both flexible and hybrid working arrangements are offered with the expectation to be in the office 2 days a week, along with a competitive based salary of up to £55,000 + 10% bonus.
