Your new company
Hays have partnered with this FTSE 250 listed organisation who are looking for a Finance Manager to join their team on a permanent basis.

Your new role
As Finance Manager you will be supporting the Senior Finance Management team to develop effective and efficient Financial Controls and Reporting in accordance with the companies procedures to aid timely informed decisions and prevent disallowed costs.

Some of the key responsibilities include:

  • Provide business partnering to all functions, forming relations to allow for effective information sharing and gathering
  • Prepare and maintain monthly financial reports including profit & loss, balance sheets and cash forecasts. Including the identification of prepayments and accruals.
  • Preform ad hoc analysis to inform decision making and ascertain root causes on problematic items/processes
  • Work closely with the Financial Controller and Site Support team to monitor compliance with the prompt payment code.
  • Provide insight and help to drive improvements in the processes
  • Be proactive in identifying weak signals and indicators of potential issues



What you'll need to succeed
Ideally you will be an ACA, ACCA or CIMA Qualified Accountant, however, Finalists may be considered. You will have financial experience working within a complex accounting environment and technical knowledge of accounting routines You will have good attention to detail, a disciplined and organised approach to work and the ability to handle and work with complex data. A background of construction and/or infrastructure is highly desirable.
