Description

The role of the Commercial Finance Analyst is to provide support to the Commercial FC for management accounting, corporate responsibilities and commercial analysis. You will be tasked with increasing engagement and partnering of finance across the business and will directly influence commercial decision-making.

This is a varied, extremely hand-on role which requires a sleeves-rolled-up approach and a willingness to get stuck into the detail.

Key responsibilities will include:

  • Partner with the commercial teams, performing detailed customer reviews monthly.

  • Provide meaningful commercial analysis, reviewing customer pricing, costs and profitability.

  • Identify and implement commercial opportunities to increase revenue and margins.

  • Build relationships with key stakeholders, building knowledge and financial awareness, ensuring risks and opportunities are shared appropriately.
  • Implement positive change and introduce new areas of reporting where gaps exist.
  • Support ad-hoc analytics such as:
  • Review of customer rates versus billing.
  • Job profitability analysis.
  • Support senior business leaders with ad-hoc project work and commercial analysis.
  • Provide spend analysis to support decisions across Operations and Plant Maintenance team

Profile

To perform this role you'll need to be a good communicator, commercially savvy, have strong analytical skills and be able to present financial data clearly and accurately to non-finance personnel.

We are keen to hear from candidates with the following attributes and experience:

· Fully qualified CIMA/ACCA.

· An advanced knowledge of Excel, using complex formulas and data analysis sets.

· Outstanding attention to detail and strong administration skills.

· Commercially minded.

· Able to work autonomously.

· Desire for process improvement and challenging the status quo

· Excellent analytical skills.

· Interpersonal skills, with a willingness to support immediate team members.

· Good communication skills - manage and influence stakeholders.

· Conscientious, confident, hardworking.

· Willingness to take ownership and responsibility.

· Good team player, willing to share knowledge and ideas and to learn from team members.

Job Offer

In return for your commitment, dedication and contribution to making a fantastic team even better, you will receive an attractive salary in the £50,000-£55,000 range plus a bonus and extensive benefits.
