Excellent opportunity for a qualified accountant to join a hugely successful and growing Construction business as Group Financial Accountant. This is a varied role, which will suit someone with strong technical and analytical skills, where you will be involved in the preparation of management and statutory accounts, forecasting and budget processes, and continuous process improvement.

My client are a successful UK construction business, who have plans for further growth over the coming years. The Finance team are based out of York and offer a supportive and collaborative team, with excellent long-term progression prospects for the successful individual.

Description

As Group Financial Accountant, your duties will include:

  • Preparation and maintenance of company accounts
  • Preparation of Group's management and statutory reporting
  • Preparation and financial analysis of weekly cash forecasting
  • Support to wider finance team to ensure implementation and improvement of the Group's financial processes
  • Ad hoc project work
  • Preparation of statutory accounts for some subsidiary companies
  • Continuous maintenance of financial controls and suggesting and implementing improvements where needed
  • Mentoring and training Assistant Accountant

Profile

  • Qualified Accountant (ACA, ACCA, CIMA)
  • Advanced Excel skills
  • Strong technical accounting knowledge
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Ability to work with stakeholders at all levels
  • Used to working in a fast-paced environment
