Our client are Highly regarded Bristol based organisation. They are looking for a senior tax professional to lead their inhouse tax team.

Description

The key responsibilities for this Group Tax Manager based in Bristol are:

  • Direct tax compliance for the Group's UK subsidiaries including co-ordination of outsourced tax returns, preparation of CFC and anti-hybrid analysis, forecasting quarterly instalment payments; co-ordination of SAO reporting obligation
  • Providing support on key strategic corporate and business projects
  • Acting as a direct tax subject matter expert supporting the wider shared service function as well all business lines as required
  • Partnering with stakeholders in the tax team, finance and the wider business to understand the tax risks to provide ad hoc advice and suggestions for mitigation where appropriate

Profile

For this Group Tax Manager based in Bristol, the successful candidate will have/be:

  • A tax and/or accounting qualification (CTA/ACA or equivalent)
  • Bring a solid tax background gained in a top accountancy firm
  • A comprehensive understanding of UK Corporate Tax law
  • Experience of working in a corporate tax department of an accountancy practice or an in-house corporate tax team.
  • Previous responsibility for all aspects of Corporate Tax Compliance including tax return submission, payment of liabilities etc
  • Experience of completing Tax reviews of statutory accounts prepared under IFRS
  • Good level of understanding of how the functions of an enterprise work together
  • Good level of understanding of the corporate tax best practise in equivalent organisations
