Job Details
Reporting to the Head of Technical Accounting and Reporting the Group Accountant will play a key role within the Head Office finance function, helping to ensure the Group meets all internal and external reporting obligations.

Description
- Completion of the month end close process for the head office entities and provision of support to the regional finance teams as required
- Review and control several head office companies, including the performance of all monthly reconciliations and regular balance sheet reviews
- Preparation of the statutory accounts for all UK entities, working with external auditors to ensure an effective process
- Liaison with the finance shared service centres in Asia, Germany and USA to ensure that all statutory accounting processes are completed in accordance with financial reporting standards and to required deadlines
- Assistance with the year end and interim audit processes, including frequent interactions with the Group's external auditors
- Provide technical guidance and information to operating companies and other group finance staff as required
- Provide assistance to the Head of Internal Group Reporting in responding to ad hoc questions from the business
- Production of consolidated reports in accordance with Group timetables, covering management, statutory, budgeting and forecasting requirements to tight deadlines
- Analysis and scenario modelling for ad hoc projects as required
Profile
- Newly qualified accountant with excellent technical ability
- Experience working with listed businesses (within audit)
- Hyperion knowledge would be advantageous
- Confident interacting with senior management team and a variety of stakeholders
