A superb Group Reporting Accountant role has arisen in a high growth, international logistics and distribution business based in West London

Client Details

Michael Page Finance are partnering an £800m turnover global logistics business based in West London.

The group are a subsidiary of one of the largest groups in the world. The business is in a sustained period of growth and operate in all regions to provide specialist distribution, supply chain and logistics to the life science sector.

This is a very exciting time for the group who have grown organically and are now embarking on acquisitions.

Description

Reporting to the Group Reporting Manager, this key role under the proposed new structure will be an integral part of the team with involvement across all areas of group reporting. The role will eventually evolve from primarily a consolidation 'preparer' role to a more senior 'reviewer' role. You will be part of a small team of qualified accountants and as such this is a highly visible role to senior members of management.

  • Assisting with the management of the delivery of the statutory year end accounts, within agreed timetables.
  • Planning & preparation of annual subsidiary accounts, support the preparation of the UK and European consolidated financial statements, including assisting the co-ordination of senior stakeholders to ensure documents are reviewed and feedback incorporated.
  • Day to day engagement and management of the external audit, planning and timing of statutory accounts and statutory reporting;
  • Collation of the annual account disclosures, assist with planning and delivery of corporate tax year end process, working closely with the Tax Team;
  • Business partner with relevant department heads;
  • Other ad-hoc projects (i.e. acquisitions, system transformation)

Profile

The ideal candidate will be:

  • A fully qualified accountant (ACA/ACCA/CIMA) with experience training/working in a top/mid tier practice.
  • Multi-currency consolidations
  • Technical accounting knowledge
  • Team Player
  • Able to build strong working relationships
