Financial Controller

An Entrepreneurial Construction SME are looking to recruit a Financial Controller. Based in Oldham.

Your new company
Your new company are a highly ambitious construction business based in Oldham. After another year of impressive growth their now looking to recruit a Financial Controller to lead their small but efficient finance function.

Your new role
In your new role as Financial Controller you'll provide financial support to the business in accordance with current procedures and processes. You will take ownership of the production of management accounts for both internal and external users. You will prepare the payroll of 250 employees. Prepare PAYE and VAT returns and submit to agreed timescales to HMRC. You will manage the continuous 12 week cashflow forecast. You will manage 2 direct reports, Assistant Management Accountant and Accounts Assistant and assist them with their personal development.

What you'll need to succeed
To succeed in this exciting leadership role you'll be ACA/ACCA/CIMA Qualified and have post qualification experience. You'd of worked within a similar role and have previous management experience. Experience working within an owner managed SME, reporting directly to the MD is highly proffered. Along with previous construction experience. You'll be ambitious and someone who is always looking to improve processes not just within the finance function but that of the wider business.
