Hays Senior Finance are working with a leading growing service provider in Lincolnshire to recruit a Deputy Chief Finance Officer
Your new role
Reporting to the Chief Finance Officer you will be responsible for all aspects of service delivery including Financial Budgeting, Management & Controls, Capital, Treasury & Income Management, Year End Accounts, VAT, Accounts Payable and Insurance Administration. The roles responsibilities also include value added internal and external client services including financial advice, analysis and information. You will take the lead in all aspects of planning, delivery and support of effective end to end financial management of management and statutory accounts on behalf of all customers as well as provide strategic and innovative leadership. Specific tasks will include budget monitoring (revenue & capital). monthly financial reporting, financial modelling, monthly and quarterly finance performance reports, year end outturn reporting and presentation of financial information to Senior Managers as well as internal audit reports and manage a team dedicated to the delivery of services.
What you'll need to succeed
You will be a qualified CCAB with the full range of finance skills in management. financial and statutory accounting, budgeting, financial analysis/modelling. You will have excellent staff management experience enabling a strong performance management culture. You will have excellent interpersonal, communication, presentation and IT skills with advanced Excel. You will ideally have experience of managing corporate finance financial teams in a local government/public sector environment. You will be living close to the Lincolnshire area as the role is a hybrid working model with 2-3 days a week in the office.
