We’re ForrestBrown, a firm of chartered tax advisers specialising in research and development (R&D) tax. Our team has substantial experience and technical expertise in this field which, combined with our passion for our clients and entrepreneurial spirit, helps us deliver outstanding results for a wide portfolio of innovative clients. Established in 2013, we have offices in Bristol, Glasgow and London and are proud to be one of the largest specialist R&D tax teams in the UK.

As a tax consultant, you’ll work collaboratively alongside our sector specialist, quality assurance and advisory practice teams to provide technically excellent R&D tax credit claims for your clients. Delivering technical reports and tax calculations and providing unmatched levels of client service and excellence in all that you do. You’ll get to know your clients’ businesses and fully understand their R&D projects; making sure they receive our exceptional ForrestBrown service and fully maximised claims. You’ll be the first point of contact for your clients – there to advise, assist and update them at every stage of their claim journey.

To be a great tax consultant at ForrestBrown, it’s fair to say you’ll need a good knowledge of tax. You will be fully qualified, in tax or accountancy, or have made significant progress towards being so (ideally CTA, ATT, ACA, ACCA or equivalent), but you won’t need to know all the specifics of R&D already – that’s something we can teach you. Most importantly, you’ll be the kind of person who won’t settle for being a cog in a machine but who’s eager to take responsibility for their own work and who doesn’t rest until their client has the best possible solution. As well as a solid communicator, you’ll be driven, enthusiastic and thrive under pressure. And if you can add to all that excellent time management skills, you could be just the person we’re looking for.
