Job Details
As a Financial Controller, you will report directly to the CFO, assisting key stakeholders to ensure their budgetary targets. You will be responsible for internal and external statutory reporting and will manage all accounting operations.

Description
As a Financial Controller you will be responsible for:
- Organising and reporting finance, in accordance with the ESFA reporting requirements.
- Assisting the Board in formulating financial aims and objectives of the organisations and in establishing the policies, systems and procedures through which they shall be achieved, including the development and monitoring of budgets.
- Continuous development of the organisation's financial accounting systems and reporting methodologies.
- You will be in consultation with the line manager and the Board, prepare the Trust's annual budget, review and update forecasts as required.
- You shall monitor income and expenditure concerning the organisational budget, and produce monthly reports for the CFO, the Board, and relevant sub-committee/s.
- You will provide budget holders with monthly updates of their accounts and advise them on matters relating to their budgets.
- You will keep all charitable accounts and prepare income and expenditure reports in accordance with the ESFA financial regulations and shall prepare accounts with the CFO for submission to the organisation's auditors.
- You will coordinate the annual audit, liaising with all parties involved.
- You will oversee the effective deployment of all staff within her/his areas of responsibility.
- You will support the CFO and CSEL in advising the board and its committees as appropriate.
Profile
The successful candidate will have:
- CCAB Accounting Qualification.
- Knowledge and understanding of Company Law, UK GAAP and IFRS.
- Knowledge and understanding of Charity reporting requirements.
- Advanced Excel skills.
- Knowledge of best practice in management reporting.
- Experience in managing expenditure and income.
- Experience in managing change and implementing new systems/procedures/controls.
- Evidence of effective leadership and line-management of staff including a team.
- Evidence of Finance, business and administrative management experience to support the day-to-day
