Management Accountant - Permanent - Growing Manufacturing Group - Ledbury, Herefordshire - Hays Accountancy
Your new company
Hays Accountancy & Finance are exclusively partnering with a leading and growing manufacturing business to recruit for a dynamic and driven Management Accountant based in Ledbury, Herefordshire. A permanent and varied accounting role working within a close-knit finance team supporting all functions across the business. A progressive Management Accountant role where you can really develop in a well-established group, where you can challenge processes, be involved in various projects, and support senior management with further business growth. Ideally you will be part-qualified/qualified ACCA/CIMA/ACA with a hands-on approach and have experience within a small/medium sized organisation.
Your new role
Key duties will involve monthly management reporting including department reporting, preparing/posting prepayments and journals, along with monthly balance sheet reconciliations and sales reporting reconciliations. You will be involved in project costing, margin analysis, foreign currency exchange transactions and currency valuations. You will maintain the fixed asset register with monthly depreciation, job costing/processing, international transactions for subsidiaries, year-end payroll reporting and quarterly VAT submissions. You will assist with insurance renewals, monthly payroll processes and various projects to assist in improving processes/systems. You will assist with year-end accounts processes including audit and tax, cover when needed for the finance team including stock/production output and supervise/support the Accounts Assistant responsible for sales/purchase ledger processes. You will be involved in ad-hoc projects and duties to support business growth and senior management.
What you'll need to succeed
To be considered for this hands-on and varied Management Accountant role, you will need experience within a similar position, experience of working to Management Accounts Reporting and the ability to process/analyse large amounts of data. You will be Part-qualified/qualified CIMA/ACCA/ACA with strong communication skills to build internal/external relationships and key MS excel skills. You will be a quick learner, comfortable challenging processes to assist with improvements, and be used to managing your own workloads. It would be advantageous if you have worked within the Manufacturing/Agricultural sector previously within a small to medium sized organisation.
