The ICAEW is currently Recruiting for A Corporate Finance Faculty Manager for their London Moorgate office. This is a permanent full time position working hybrid working 2 days a week in the office and 3 from home. Essentially you will be a Financial Journalist for the Corporate Finance arena.

 

 

 

Overall purpose of Role

 

To prepare high quality technical and practical information for members, make policy representations and develop leading edge thinking on important technical issues (in both an international and domestic context), with particular emphasis on equity investment, finance for growth and M&A activity.

 

 

To plan, develop and deliver high quality, topical content and services by communicating corporate finance business and technical issues to members.

 

 

To work with the Faculty team as well as other departments within the ICAEW to deliver and enhance corporate finance faculty services, including its publications, events, social media, content marketing, membership and other Faculty activities.

 

 

To support communications with many ICAEW stakeholder organisations, policy makers, regulators and other professional bodies and individuals

 

 

 

Responsibilities

 

 

Lead projects requiring high quality technical and practical thought leadership outcomes and/or guidance on important technical issues, in particular in the fields of equity investment, finance for growth and merger and acquisition strategy and activity.Attend/convene meetings/events with key stakeholders and other bodies as well as potential and existing members to discuss matters of common interest - in particular in the field of equity investment. Ensure that the interests of members of the profession and the public interest are recognised before or at an early stage in future developments on the above matters.Deliver high quality technical information to Faculty and ICAEW members for example, through planning, developing and delivering the Faculty's publications including working with external publishers for the Corporate Financier magazine to deliver high quality content to members on the latest trends in corporate finance.Develop technical communications to engage stakeholders, policy-makers and academics and new members, as well as creating new content for existing members.Continue to develop the Faculty's web site, and social media - provide editorial, manage and deliver content. Write blogs, Faculty News, Twitter commentary and other content as necessary. Oversee the preparation and publication of guidelines and other Faculty output and publications including the development, launch and maintenance of an App to deliver faculty content to members.Develop the content, speakers and budget for a broad mix of events in the field of corporate finance to enhance the Faculty services to members and reputation and influence (e.g. seminars, conferences, forums, annual reception, debates, policy events, webinars etc).Network and build relationships with key players within stakeholder bodies.Seek out new opportunities for Faculty membership growth and service enhancement via engagement with the corporate finance community, faculty volunteers, ICAEW members and other firms.

 

Requirements

 

Proven experience of working in a corporate finance role in professional practice or business, in a closely related professional role, or a related communications environment.Good working knowledge of the high-level policy and technical issues effecting members in corporate finance practice and business.Excellent personal communication skills, (both oral & written) with a high standard of presentation.Ability to interact effectively with internal and external stakeholders to manage resources efficiently.Very good project management and interpersonal skills.Good working knowledge of online/offline communications, publishing and social media.Related business development and/or content marketing experience.Presence and confidence to deal with senior professionals and other senior ICAEW stakeholders.A working knowledge of Microsoft office packages is also required.
