Finance Manager

Qualified Finance Manager role for a large professional services company in Chester paying up to £65,000.


Hays Senior Finance are working with a large and highly profitable professional services business in Chester to recruit a qualified Finance Manager. This business can trace it's history back for over 100 years and yet they are still a global leader ad innovator in this field.

Due to growth and a recent restructure in finance the business is looking to appoint a qualified and experienced Finance Manager to manage and develop a team of six. Based from their impressive offices in Chester the Finance Manager will enjoy autonomy in the role and report to the Head of Finance. Key duties in this role will include:

• Team Management - objective setting and performance reviews across AP, AR, Payroll, Cash & Banking etc
• Responsibility for understanding and accurately recording various revenue streams
• Understand the revenue results in line with run rate, budget and forecast
• Responsibility for understanding and accurately recording costs within the general ledger and P2P system
• Responsibility and review of month end journals, including from core platforms and back office systems, into our general ledger across multiple legal entities
• Reconciliation and reporting of the fixed asset register and lease commitments under IFRS16
• Oversight of balance sheet reconciliations
• Payment approvals and management of the corporate bank account mandates and online access
• Liaison with internal and external auditors
• Provide monthly MI dashboards on the cost base per area and how this is tracking against budget and forecast
• Production of revenue related MI including for FCA, Joint Ventures and Advisers target
