The role could go perm for the right person but initially will be on a 3 - 6 month fTC
My client are a large business in their own right who are a subsidiary of a very large UK business.
This is a key role in the Finance division of this large business.
Reporting to the FD the FC plays a pivotal role in the success of the business.
The FC plays a key business partnering role to the SMT in the businesss and leads in the preparation of the monthly financial and transnational accounting function
The FC will lead on the the statutory audit process, linking in with both internal and external audit partners, ensuring governance and compliance are adhered to with SOX, accounting standards and rules of business, and are in line with group requirements
You will be responsible and manage Capex applications and requests through to Group. The FC will be responsible for the provision of effective timely and accurate financial information being produced, providing insight and challenge to the SMT on financial and business KPIs and contract performance
You will manage a team of circa 23 staff with 5 direct reports in the Financial Accounting, PL and SL as well as VAT/TAX, Contract Accounting, Treasury Management, developing strong and robust Risk and control frameworks.
You will be a qualified Accountant with ACA, ACCA or CIMA
Ideally you will have worked in a Manufacturing, Construction or engineering however other large company experience will be considered.
You will have excellent change management experience and and the ability to challenge change at all levels.
You will have managed a full statutory audit and be used to working with both external and internal audit
Ideally you will have contract accounting experience (ifrs 15)
You will be a good leader and be able to managed staff in a hybrid fashion

Salary c £70,000 - £80,000
Hybrid working - 2-3 days a week on site
