Helping our clients identify and address those risks to give them and their stakeholders confidence in their business is the purpose of our new Risk Assurance Line of Service. As a business, we have been providing services related to risk within our wider Assurance practice. On 1 July 2020, we established this new Line of Service to better use the scale and breadth of our practice including many of the firm’s experts in areas such as technology, regulation, cyber security, listings, actuarial, accounting, controls and internal audit.

About Enterprises and Enterprise Business Applications 

The Enterprises business unit will be leading the drive for growth and innovation across Risk, and enabling areas identified from within our business to have the space and breadth to rapidly scale. The purpose of our new BU is to incubate and scale some of our propositions and services to accelerate and supercharge their growth, as well as providing us with a place to develop some of our new solutions for the future.

We are currently made up of 3 key areas, PwC Sustainability, Enterprises Business Applications and Marketing & Media.

Our Enterprises Business Applications (EBA) is a rapidly growing team offering a range of high value services for organisations going through business and technology change. The team specialises in helping mid-sized, UK based organisations navigate complex and challenging Transformation programmes that are principally based on Microsoft Technology solutions. Our Microsoft team excels in de-risking these complex programmes and helping our clients to achieve their desired programme outcomes.

The Role

As a Microsoft CE Solution Architect, you will work with clients and partners to ensure that technical solutions are coherent, cost-effective, and fit for the future. This will involve:

• Taking a lead role on the design and implementation of Dynamics 365 CE for clients.

• Leading and overseeing requirements gathering, business engagement, assessing solution response to meet requirements and working with SI to ensure CE solution is built as per the agreed requirement set

• Defining the overall solution architecture for clients, including the CE application, any integrations, data, and infrastructure, working with Microsoft technologies.

• Defining key transition states across the course of programme delivery to enable clients to reach their target state.

• Managing functional consultants, business analysts and technical teams part of client engagements

• Performing the technical lead role on programmes to ensure coherence across the solution and its impacted workstreams such as data, integrations, environments, and infrastructure.

• Being the solution authority when working with teams in complex transformations such as system integrators, third parties, programme management etc. 

Person specification

• Extensive experience in defining, designing and implementing solution architectures involving Microsoft Dynamics 365 CE / power platform.

• Qualified in Microsoft Dynamics 365 CE solutions including sales, marketing and services functionality.

• Significant experience in understanding the client technology landscape and how the landscape will be transformed using Microsoft technologies.

• Significant experience in defining transition states in complex legacy environments, to enable move to target state.

• Strong experience of working with common Independent Solution Vendors (ISVs) in the Microsoft Dynamics 365 ecosystem.

• Strong ability to present highly technical content in a concise and consumable way.

• Experience in engaging senior client stakeholders to discuss all matters in relation to architecture and solution.

• Proven experience in driving technical teams to achieve outcomes and meet implementation timelines.

• Pragmatic, unfazed by ambiguity, and able to drive clarity and measurable execution.

• Deep experience in one or more of the following areas would be beneficial: applications, data, integrations, infrastructure.
