Are you an ACA qualified Accountant that lives within commutable distance to Reigate, Surrey? Are you looking to upgrade to a medium size Insurance Group, which has operations through the whole of the UK? Are you looking to work in a friendly and growing company, which will allow hybrid / home working at least twice a week? Based in a newly created, varied role and reporting to the Group Accountant, your role will include: The preparation of statutory accounts and management accounts for all UK entities (most are small in size), budgeting, forecasting, cash management, inter company reconciliations, ad hoc projects and other duties as required. Your role will be varied, challenging, yet enjoyable and you will work in a small and friendly team with flexible working conditions. The firm would also consider someone looking for part time / reduced hours.

To be considered for this newly created role (July 2022) you must be an ACA qualified Accountant, likely with at least 3 to 5 years PQE. You must live within easy commutable distance from Reigate in Surrey. It would be a huge advantage if you had experience working in the insurance industry or another financial services industry, ideally in industry but the firm would also consider practice candidates looking to make their first move in house. You must have strong statutory and management accounts experience and have strong UK GAAP including FRS 102 knowledge. You must be a team player, be able to work independently and be able to work to tight deadlines. Experience of Quickbooks Online would be an advantage but training can be provided. Experience of Acturis software would also be a huge advantage.

This well established, growing, entrepreneurial Insurance Group is very profitable and growing at a steady rate. They are small / medium sized and own a number of high profile insurance broking and underwriting agencies. This newly created position will play a major role within their accounts function, carrying out all the accounting, statutory and compliance duties for the UK based entities. Your role will be varied, enjoyable, and you will work in a small and friendly team. The firm is willing to offer flexible working, including working at least 2 – 3 days a week from home, potentially more. They are also happy to consider someone on a part time basis or reduced hours. There are also progression opportunities in the future as the company is growing.
