Finance Manager | Carnforth | £60,000 | Manufacturing / Construction


Your new company

Carnforth based business are looking for a Finance Manager to monitor the progress of our account function projects, investigates variances, and ensure good financial control of the client's account functions.

Your new role

A key Finance Manager and Team Leader role, reporting to the Head of Finance, you will be responsible for: Leading and inspiring a team of 6, to deliver high quality outputs, driving mentality of continuous improvement and a can-do approach. Positively contributing to all improvement projects, ensuring a high quality of testing is performed by your team and post launch issues are raised and timely resolved. Driving the month-end process, particularly from a revenue perspective. Setting and communicating the timetable for activities to be completed, and ensuring all responsibilities are achieved in a timely manner by your team. Ensuring all Balance Sheet accounts, you are accountable for, are clean and without material differences. Being able to spot issues and resolve or raise them quickly. Responsible for the commentary on the Balance Sheet variances to budget. Assisting with the development of budgets on a quarterly basis. Supporting the Cashflow team in providing data and spotting risks and opportunities. Setting the agenda for improvements in their processes and driving continuous improvement, including automation. Working with finance systems colleagues to ensure systems are working as they should and resolve issues with the team quickly. Coordination of group delivery activity for half year and full year reporting. Support and liaison with External Auditors.

What you'll need to succeed

You will be fully qualified by ACCA or CIMA or QBE. You will be leading and developing a team of staff.
You will enjoy improving processes and controls and delivering on projects. Highly IT literate, you will have had exposure to larger ERP systems and have strong Excel skills.
