Your new role

The successful candidate will be responsible for; Ensuring accurate and timely period close and reporting and to own the "what as happened" narrative across the VGs (from Top to bottom of P&L), Aligning timetables and reporting across the cluster to ensure efficient, consistent and accurate reporting, Establishing and run month end performance and balance sheet reviews, Ensuring performance is fully understood and communicated to management and commercial finance for understanding and action, Driving understanding and ownership into our costs drivers within general expenses and our cash position and working capital understanding, To be the one point of contact and one source of truth for all past performance questions from a P&L, Balance sheet and cash perspective. Full end to end performance ownership, Own the management and coordination of the Budget process, taking feeds from across the team, Own the creation and issue of the periodic management reporting packs including functional cost centre performance and headcount report reporting. Raising the bar for business wide performance understanding and ownership, Ensuring accurate financial accounting in key high risk areas including Payroll, Pensions and Group reporting in GB.

What you'll need to succeed

The successful candidate will be a fully qualified accountant with a commercial background in accounts and a strong technical accounting knowledge. Additionally they will the ability to communicate at all levels within the business concisely to drive understanding and action. Moreover they will be proficient in SAP and excel.
