Your new company
Our client is a new business that form part of a large manufacturing corporate company, that are highly recognised in their sector. They operate from a new, innovative facility set up to best meet customer needs whilst minimising the sites environmental impact.

Your new role
They are now keen to appoint an experienced Finance Manager, on a 12-month fixed-term contract to support the new finance team, covering for a maternity leave. In this position you would be responsible for all accounting, budgeting, financial controls, and costs for this entity. Partnering with senior stakeholders, you would be there to apply consistent accounting practices at the operations level and be part of the leadership team for the operation. Managing a team of 2/3 staff up to qualified level, your responsibilities would include:

  • Participates in the business as a member of the leadership team to drive key business metrics, provides input into development of business strategies, and provides financial support for new business development.
  • Manages application of accounting practices and works with business partners to apply consistent accounting practices; implements recommended changes to accounting practices.
  • Manages monthly and quarterly financial reporting processes; leads finance communication across entity; develops and presents financial analysis to business partners.
  • Manages the Annual Operating Plan (AOP) and forecast processes, provides leadership to business to meet cost and working capital targets.
  • Manages development of strong control environment across the key business cycles.
  • Works with business partners to ensure processes are efficient and cost effectiveness to improve the profitability of the entity; partners with business leaders to create operational efficiencies driving continuous improvements and growth initiatives.
  • Manages financial support to comply with any governmental, regulatory, or local requirements, such as tax and statutory accounting requirements.
  • Leads financial analysis on capital projects and manages overall capital management process at entity level.
  • Allocates financial resources to support business initiatives, including accounts receivable collections, managing inventory and payables, etc.
  • Coaches and mentors, all entity finance staff; assigns work according to availability, skills, and developmental needs; assesses performance and provides feedback to direct reports.


What you'll need to succeed
It is essential that you are fully qualified with the CIMA, ACCA or ACA qualification and have a proven, recent background working in a technical finance position. Other key requirements include experience in staff management, background in an operational industry (ideally manufacturing) and the ability to partner effectively. Commercially astute, you would need to be confident, detailed, supportive, and adaptable. Advanced Excel and systems skills is a must to enable to you partner well, and work effectively on projects with the IT team.

What you'll get in return
