Local Government Finance Manager role to play an integral part in the financial planning for a council

Your new company

You will be working for a large local government organisation who are going through a number of transformation programmes and have added a number of new positions to their structure.

Your new role

This role will report into the Head of Financial planning and is a critical role to the development of the 2023 budget that is due in Feb 2023. You will be working on the short, medium and long term financial plan for the organisation. You will support in the delivery of a comprehensive , high quality, cost effective and timely service. Prepare reports for officers and members on all financial planning and budgeting issue for Feb 2023, ensuring all relevant issues are reflected in those plans.

What you'll need to succeed

You will need to be a qualified accountant with any of the CCAB bodies
Significant experience in a local government organisation and ideally in a large scale council or county council environment.

What you'll get in return

There is a day rate of £500 p/day available
Flexible and remote working options
The opportunity to work on a really interested piece of work that will require using all financial planning skills.
