Your new company
Our client is a privately owned manufacturing group, with their head office based on the outskirts of Birmingham. The business has been through a significant amount of change over the last few years, but they are now well positioned to grow both organically and through acquisition. Finance is a highly valued commercial function within the business and is at the heart of all key strategic decisions and therefore this is a high-profile role.

Your new role
Reporting into the Group Finance Director, you will lead the broader Group Finance team and be responsible for the day to day running of the Group's financial accounting process and will set, maintain and deliver timely reporting. As Director of Group Finance, you will work closely with the Group's site Finance Directors to establish and maintain an effective business control framework.

What you'll need to succeed
The successful candidate will need to be a qualified accountant (CIMA/ACCA/ACA) with post qualification experience in a financial management position. In addition, we are looking for a candidate who can demonstrate a strong understanding of management accounting and financial reporting, as well as recent practical experience of driving continuous improvements, ideally in a manufacturing environment. It is likely you will have worked in a similar group or divisional role within a £500m+ business and possess a 'can do' attitude and an analytical mind and experience of dealing with a variety of senior stakeholders. This role might also suit someone making a move out of one of the larger practice firms at Director level or similar.
