Chartered Accountant

We are looking for a qualified, motivated, and ambitious candidate with practice experience, to join our team and provide support to the directors and manage client relationships.

We are an established and growing accountancy practice based in the centre of Wetherby. We provide accountancy, audit, and tax services to a wide range of clients from individuals through to larger companies requiring statutory audits.

Job Description:

This role will include client management, supervision of more junior staff, file reviews, and providing assistance to the directors of the business to play a vital role in the continued growth of the practice. The successful candidate will provide accountancy and tax advice and the highest levels of customer service to our wide range of clients.

The ideal candidate will have the following experience:

• Previous client management experience.
• Preparation of accounts for limited companies, partnerships, and sole traders.
• Preparation of tax computations for companies and individuals.
• Review of bookkeeping records, preparation of VAT returns and management accounts.
• Payroll processing, and benefit in kind returns.
• Audit experience including walkthrough testing and sampling.

In addition to the above, as accountancy and bookkeeping systems continue to develop and improve, the ability to use cloud software such as Xero, FreeAgent, Quickbooks and Futrli will be an increasingly crucial aspect of this role, especially with the ongoing expansion of MTD. As such, familiarity with cloud software is desirable, although training and the opportunity to gain accreditation will be available.

Experience of the Microsoft Office suite is essential, and previous experience of Digita accounts and tax software would be an advantage.
