Your new company

This is an exciting opportunity to join an early-stage start up in the Green/Renewable Fuel industry. The vacancy has an excellent range of duties, and will work closely with the CFO to contribute to the growth of the business.

Your new role

As the successful candidate, your responsibilities will include:

  • Preparing monthly management accounts, including board reports with KPI tracking, variance analysis and commentary
  • Preparing in-year forecasts, budgets and 5-year plans, business partnering with stakeholders for inputs
  • Managing core finance processes, including sales and purchase ledgers, bank reconciliations, the calculation of depreciation and interest, preparation and posting of accrued and deferred income and expenses, intercompany accounts, VAT returns and payroll support
  • Ensuring timely customer invoicing and payment of suppler invoices
  • Prepare year-end accounts, working with external accountants to resolve queries
  • Short and mid-term cash forecasting
  • Ensuring insurance policies are up to date


What you'll need to succeed

To be the successful candidate, you must have / be:

  • Part / Fully qualified accountant or qualified by experience
  • Strong planning and organisational skills
  • Excellent collaboration and communication skills
  • Self-starter, able to work independently as well as part of a team
  • Strong IT / Systems skills, including SAGE and Excel
