The role 

We are looking for a high performing Tech Internal Audit Senior Manager to:

  • Oversee the delivery of technology related audits and technology elements of Internal Audit plans across a portfolio of clients (with a focus on large/complex clients) including:

    • End-to-end oversight and co-ordination of the engagement lifecycle including budgeting, resourcing, scoping and delivering tech related audits.

    • Overseeing the delivery of our engagement teams including taking responsibility for identifying the subject matter expertise required, the quality of outputs and deliverables and ensuring the audit delivers within the agreed budget.

    • Managing senior client relationships including with C-level staff, Internal Audit Managers and Heads of Technology Audit and IT and business auditees/stakeholders during the execution of an audit/audit plan

    • Supporting clients in developing their annual Tech Internal Audit plans as well as planning and scoping individual audits.

    • Collaborate with our wider Internal Audit practice to deliver a coherent Internal Audit service to our clients across both technology and business audits.

  • Support our wider Tech Audit growth ambition and development of our Tech Internal Audit teams capabilities:

  • Taking an active role in people management, coaching and developing skills in the team.

  • Leading on initiatives  to grow our business through winning new work and creating new market facing propositions.

  • Promoting opportunities to enhance, disrupt and improve the way we work through the use of technology.

  • Actively championing risk management activities to protect the firms brand.

  • Working to increase awareness of our Tech Audit team across our Risk Line of Service and collaborating with these team.

The essentials

  • Experience working in Tech Audit either as part of an in-house Internal Audit / Risk and Compliance team or at another professional services / consulting firm.

  • A broad understand of IT risk and controls and best practice frameworks, e.g. ITIL, COBIT.

  • Technology systems and infrastructure experience (e.g. applications, operating systems, databases, networks).

  • Strong organisational skills and ability to manage a portfolio of work.

  • Strong report writing skills and ability to present data and conclusions succinctly, factually and appropriately for a variety of different audiences.

  • Excellent customer service and client-facing interpersonal skills, including with senior client stakeholders

  • The ability to create and foster client relationships that generate further commercial opportunities for the firm

  • The ability to proactively anticipate and mitigate risks to the delivery of client work

  • Ability to collaborate effectively within and across different teams and staff grades to obtain the best overall team output/outcomes.

  • Experience of managing and coaching teams and individuals across a portfolio of engagements or activities.

  • High quality standards with respect to outputs and attention to detail.

Preferred Skills

  • Understand and are curious about the latest technology trends and IT processes.

  • Relevant Tech Audit or IT qualifications (eg., CISA, CISM, CISSP, CIA)

  • Strong presentation and facilitation skills

  • Deeper subject matter expertise in one to two key technology areas (eg., IT governance, cloud, IT service management)
