ACA ACCA qualified practice accounts senior accountant for busy established practice in Christchurch

I am currently working with a well-established practice in Christchurch that has an excellent career opportunity for an Accountant to join their busy accounts team.

Key responsibilities will include preparing accounts and related tax computations for limited companies, partnerships, sole-traders, LLPs and charities; working closely with clients, other members of the accounts team and other departments, including direct contact with the Partners, managers and clients in order to obtain the required information to prepare their accounts; delivering excellent client service; reviewing and managing accounts work; managing and prioritising internal workflow and assignments to deadlines; assisting with driving technological solutions in accounting throughout the office; VAT returns; assisting with ad-hoc client support and
supporting the growth of the Christchurch office

Ideally you will be either ACA or ACCA qualified with at least 3 years' relevant experience working within an accountancy practice. You will need excellent written and verbal communication skills, experience with Microsoft Office, particularly Word, Excel and Outlook and ideally previous experience of CCH, Xero, Quickbooks and Sage would be advantageous. You will be able to demonstrate great attention to detail along with strong organisational skills and a pro-active and positive attitude. If you are Xero certified and have some audit experience that would be a bonus but is not essential.
