Job Details

Our Banking Conduct team works with global banks and capital market firms on a range of regulatory and business change programmes. We bring expertise in risk and regulation, and work with our clients to design and implement change to their operating models, governance, processes and controls. Most recently, our projects have included Brexit response, LIBOR transformation, transaction reporting and governance and controls remediation.

Our teams are self-starting, agile and thrive on new and diverse challenges. We work across Front Office, Risk Management, Operations and Finance supporting critical business change initiatives and remediation programmes. We operate globally, working with the global PwC network to deliver large scale change.

You will take a leading role across a range of projects to build a broad range of expertise and be passionate about delivering value and insights to your clients. You’ll invest time in building  your client relationship network and thrive on taking on new challenges in unfamiliar situations.

Responsibilities

  • Lead significant components of business change and conduct risk transformation projects, which may include managing several concurrent client programmes, reporting on progress to Directors and above.

  • Develop strategies to solve complex technical challenges, help firms to rethink their approach to risk and control and work with our clients to create robust and sustainable change.

  • Build and maintain effective working relationships with senior client stakeholders and help pursue commercial opportunities with new and existing clients.

  • Keep up to date with significant economic challenges and share insights to support the development of your team’s technical acumen.

Experience

  • Experience working within financial services risk and control projects either from a consulting, banking or regulatory background.

  • Experience working with senior stakeholders, developing effective working relationships and providing insightful management information. 

  • Strong commercial awareness, sound reporting skills and experience leading teams whilst working under your own initiative.

  • Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.

  • Good attention to detail, including robust analysis and presentation skills (Excel Powerpoint)

  • The ability to work under pressure and deal with ambiguity.

  • Relevant qualifications e.g. ACA, CFA are ideal but not essential.
