Job Details

The CAE Team Leader (TL) reports directly to the CAE Manager (CAM) and will be responsible for the day to day management of a team of CAEs who provide support on our client engagements. In addition to the TL responsibilities, 50% of time will be chargeable to client work.

Career Coach
Act as Career Coach for CAEs including setting objectives, coaching and performance management

Team Management
Weekly review of timesheet completion & quality 
Ensure that CAEs are fully up to date with all relevant policies and procedures
Identify, encourage and recognise examples of good team working 
Providing timely written and verbal feedback
Work with CAM to support BU initiatives & priorities
management of the allocation of CAE portfolios 
Offer support and guidance to CAEs regarding their workload with a focus on delivery and quality
Management and approval of Annual Leave/planned and unplanned absences
Approving and monitoring ‘Work From Home’ and overtime requests 
Keeping CAM informed of potential issues and risks to the Firm 

Stakeholder Management & Team Building
Promote CAE role
Meetings with key stakeholders to discuss quality of service offered. Establish self as the first point of contact when issues arise

Finance & Transformation
Monitoring of trackers to ensure completion and quality meets national & local requirements 
Creation and review of MI dashboards and reports 
Periodic shadowing of CAEs at monthly Partner/Manager meetings to ensure quality and consistency 

Training & /Development
Working with the CAM to review and update training materials to meet the needs of the team
Assisting CAMs to host xLoS training sessions
Ownership for organising CAE Development Team Meetings (DTMs).

Recruitment / Onboarding
Supporting the CAMs with the recruitment process
Ensuring new joiners are allocated a buddy and supporting them through initial training 
 

Common behaviours and essential skills

We are looking for an individual who will bring a great work ethic, an enthusiasm to lead and demonstrate a proactive and solution focused approach. The successful candidate will also be agile, flexible, have a positive approach to leading and motivating the CAE team through change. This role has a people management element which requires the successful candidate to role model appropriate behaviours as well as demonstrate the confidence to deliver difficult messages with sensitivity. The ideal candidate will also have the ability to work as part of a team, sharing knowledge and communicating effectively at all levels as an active member of the CAE Wider Leadership Team.
 
Additional Information
This is a full-time role and expected to be office based. The successful candidate must be willing to travel to other offices as required, on occasion this may include an overnight stay.
