Head of Finance Operations

Interim Head of Finance Operations for a large public sector organisation for a 3-4 month period. Hybrid

Your new company

You will be working for a large public services organisation who provide educational services.

Your new role

You will be responsible for the Transactional Finance Team and specifically the AR , AP & Treasury functions for the organisation. There is a great team of 11 people reporting into you.

You will be responsible for :

• Maintaining delivery financial operations that are fit for purpose in the context of supporting their strategic aims and objectives to deliver excellent customer service to our beneficiaries.
• Maintaining appropriate controls and governance within operational finance to manage and mitigate risks to maintain the integrity of the financial transactions.
• Providing leadership to the Financial Operations team to ensure they deliver the best experience for their beneficiaries whilst mitigating operational risks.

What you'll need to succeed

You will ideally have worked in the public sector and ideally the education sector
Have experience of running and managing a finance transaction / operational team
Have experience of process optimisation
