Our client is a growing, profitable business in the construction and maintenance sector with offices in Northamptonshire.
Your new role
In this position you would be leading the financial controls for a B2B brand, reporting in to the Managing Director with a dotted line into the UK Finance Director, who works for the holding company. You would be responsible for managing a team of six covering day to day transactional finance, including credit control, billings, cash allocation and a finance assistant. Responsibilities will include:
- Managing day to day transactional finance
- Business partnering with the Managing Director
- Production of the monthly management accounts including KPI analysis around sales, cost, profitability, working capital and productivity
- Year end reporting and audit including preparation of UK GAAP statutory accounts
- Tax compliance
- Systems and process change and improvement
What you'll need to succeed
The ideal person for this position will be fully qualified in ACA, ACCA or CIMA with strong, recent experience in a Financial Control position. Experience in management and financial accounting is essential along with the right personal qualities required to effectively managed and drive a small team of staff. Personal qualities required include strong interpersonal skills, flexible and focused approach, and an enthusiastic, 'can-do' attitude. Advanced Excel is essential and experience working for a contracting business would be ideal.
