Job Details
Are you a Financial Controller or Finance Manager with at least 3 years PQE, looking to upgrade to a niche, rapidly growing international Fintech business based in Zone one Central London? Or are you currently in practice and looking to make your first move into industry? Are you also looking for a role which will offer you hybrid working, where you will need to be in the office 2 days a week but can work from home the remaining 3 days a week? Are you also looking for a role where you can utilise your Xero experience? Are you looking for a high profile position where you can really make your mark on a niche business and help improve the systems, controls and procedures of a growing and very profitable Fintech business? Are you also looking for a hands on role? Managing the firms overall finance function and financial control responsibilities, your role will include: preparation of monthly management accounts and board reports, identifying and implementing process improvements to improve efficiency, cash management, sales ledger, purchase ledger, working with the external accountants to produce the annual statutory accounts, assisting with the annual audit, consolidation of all accounts across the group, VAT returns, confirmation statements and Companies House submissions, working with the overseas office to help with overseas filings, CAP Table and Share Option scheme maintenance, Assist in the tax and regulatory reporting requirements of local entities and maintenance of financial/HR policies and procedures. You will report directly to the owner of the business and the CFO. Your role will be varied, high level and rewarding and progression and financial reward is expected for the right candidate.
To be considered for this new role (June 2022) you must either be a Financial Controller, or a Manager / Senior Manager in practice looking to move in house. Ideally you must have experience of working within Fintech or financial services (working for a money lending business would be a huge advantage), or if you are currently working in practice, have worked on financial services or technology clients. You must be ACA qualified and ideally have a minimum 3 years post qualification experience. Personality is key for this role, the firm wants someone who is entrepreneurial, happy to adapt to change, and is always looking to make improvements. You must also be happy to work in a hands on role. The business has a reasonably low volume (but high value) of transactions each month. The firm want someone who is looking to be part of something new and a business that is rapidly growing, being in the firm at the early stages of its growth. The role will also involve numerous projects to complete, so you must be happy and able to undertake project work. You must be strong technically and be able to adapt to a rapidly changing environment. You must have experience of IFRS / FRS and have strong statutory accounts and management accounts experience as well as current regulatory/compliance issues and accounting standards. The firm used Xero accounting software and experience of this would be an advantage.
