A charitable organisation based in the Oxfordshire area offer hybrid working.

Your new role
Supporting the Internal Audit Manager in providing independent and objective assurance system of internal control, including the management of risk, by supporting the audit of key controls and processes across all areas of the business.

  • Pre-audit planning, including researching areas being audited, documenting processes, risks and controls, and preparing audit Terms of Reference for approval by the Internal Audit Manager.
  • Validating internal controls through the "walkthrough " process.
  • Preparing targeted programmes of audit tests for approval by the Internal Audit Manager.
  • Responsibility for whole audit assignments from start to end, preparing
  • high quality evidence-based documents and reports for review by the Internal Audit Manager.
  • Ensure all audit files are complete and have all relevant documentation to support any findings and recommendations made.
  • Prepare and present internal audit reports that reflect the results of an audit, including making workable recommendations for improvement to the management of risk and internal controls.
  • Follow-up on agreed management actions

What you'll need to succeed

  • You will ideally be a CIA/IIA qualified auditor with a mix of financial and operational audit experience.
  • Current knowledge of Internal Audit standards and practices.
  • Experience in gathering, analysing and interpreting complex data and evaluating facts from data, using
  • Excel, data analytics software or CAATs.
  • Experience of writing and presenting internal audit reports to senior management level and/or above.
  • You will be happy travelling in the UK 2-3 days a month
