Due to internal promotion, we are looking for an ambitious private client tax professional to join our Poole office.

What you’ll be doing:

  • Provide support to the Director and Partner team by delivering high quality tax advice to high net worth individuals and owner managed business clients
  • Work on a range of private client tax cases, including HNWIs, non-resident and non-domiciled individuals, trusts and estates
  • Undertake preparation of tax advisory projects ensuring work is delivered within scope and format, on time and within budget
  • Input information to produce high quality complex tax returns for review by the Director or Partner
  • Correspond with clients in relation to their tax issues and liabilities, ensuring any unresolved issues are referred to the appropriate Director or Partner including the initial identification, handling and management of tax planning opportunities
  • Collate and maintain client information
  • Develop and build strong client relationships
  • Ensure adherence to all compliance processes and ensure an efficient workflow
  • Build a network with contacts, introducers and work providers
  • Attend relevant business development activities and events as required
  • Assist with the preparation of technical presentations on relevant topics.

About you: 

  • Previous experience in a tax advisory role at Senior level
  • A minimum of ATT qualification, but ideally CTA qualified
  • STEP qualification an advantage but not essential
  • Excellent up to date technical knowledge
  • Previous experience of inheritance tax, trusts and estates, capital gains tax and residence and domicile matters required
  • Property tax experience including SDLT an advantage
  • Commercially astute, with a keen analytical and problem-solving mind
  • Organised and able to plan time efficiently in order to meet deadlines
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills with the ability to build rapport quickly with clients
