Accountancy Practice - Stockport - Portfolio Manager - Team Leader
Your new company
A well established Accountancy Firm based in Stockport are seeking an experienced Portfolio Manager to join the firm. The firm work with a range of local clients consisting of sole traders, partnerships and small OMBs and have a good reputation in the market. The partners will consider individuals looking to work either 4 days a week or full time.
Your new role
As a Portfolio Manager you will gain responsibility for a portfolio of clients as well as be required to oversee junior team members. Day to day duties will include the preparation of statutory accounts including corporation tax computations, preparation of non statutory accounts for sole traders and partnerships, preparation of VAT returns and also self assessment tax returns. In your role you will have regular contact with your clients and will also be responsible for holding client meetings alongside the practice manager. You will also delegate and review work of subordinates whilst assisting in their development and appraisals.
What you'll need to succeed
The partners are looking to appoint an experienced Accounts Senior / Manager(ACA / ACCA / QBE) who has gained a number of years working within general practice. You must be competent in preparing statutory accounts using FRS 102 and you will ideally have some experience of managing clients and staff.

This job opportunity offers a competitive salary of up to £38000 plus 25 days holiday plus bank holidays, working hours of 9am - 5pm and free parking on site.
