Michael Page are recruiting for an Interim Financial Reporting Manager to join a Public Sector organisation based in Leeds.

The client is a growing Public Sector organisation based in Leeds. This an exciting time to join the organisation as they are going through a period of growth. You will be part of a brilliant finance team which offers a dynamic environment and you will have a key part to play in developing the finance team. The client is offering hybrid working and can offer the role initially on a 6 month basis with potential for extension to 12 months.

Description

As an Interim Financial Reporting Manager, duties of the role will include but are not limited to, supporting with the development of the financial reporting models, ensure transactions are in line with relevant accounting standards, align the models with the financial model assurance guidance, ensure the correct posting of the relevant journals to the ledger, support the month end process by preparing and posting the journals, contribute to the preparation of the Annual report and accounts, be the main contact to support the audit, review and providing supporting documents, drafting audit responses, support the drafting of accounting papers, work with tax experts on tax returns, build relationships with stakeholders, deal with queries and other ad hoc duties.

Profile

The successful candidate will:

  • Be immediately available or on a weeks notice ESSENTIAL
  • Be a fully Qualified Accountant CIMA/ ACCA/ ACA/ CIPFA ESSENTIAL
  • Have worked within a financial reporting role previously ESSENTIAL
  • Have a working knowledge of IFRS ESSENTIAL
  • Have worked on preparing statutory accounts and have worked with auditors ESSENTIAL

Job Offer

£480-£500 daily rate + Interim Financial Reporting Manager + Leeds based + 6 months initially, likely to be extended + PAYE/Umbrella + weekly pay + immediate start
