We are seeking a Finance Analyst to join our global manufacturing client based in Reading (with hybrid working, circa 1-2 days per week in the office) on a 12 month, fixed term contract basis.
Description
This is a key role supporting the overhead cost base by collaboratively business partnering with the senior budget holders and functional leaders to inform and support spending analysis and cost/budget management.
Key responsibilities will include:
- Ensuring timely and accurate planning, reporting and analysis
- Business partnering with cost centre owners, own and manage budget performance, resolution of accounting issues
- Support change projects to support a continuous improvement culture on cost management and profit delivery
- Working with procurement teams to ensure productivity opportunities are validated, implemented in budgets and tracked.
Profile
We are keen to identify candidates with the following attributes and experience:
- Qualified accountant (e.g. ACCA, ACA, CIMA)
- Experience in using finance systems - Proven Excel skills, financial systems knowledge
- Strong attention to detail - enjoys accurate financial reporting and planning
- Process planning and management skills
- Analytical skills and numerical judgement; ability to explain variances and forecast spend accurately
- Well organised, self-sufficient & proactive; able to prioritise and deliver against deadlines
- Good collaboration and influencing skills
Job Offer
