FP&A Manager who will work closely with the Finance Director & Manager to provide: monthly financial & management accounts, reporting, budgets, forecasts, analysis, planning, and other MI as required.

The company is a crematorium management & development company, providing operational support to multiple crematoria & memorial parks across the UK. The company has grown significantly over the last few years and is continuing to do so through new developments and furthering its position in the industry.

Description

Key responsibilities include:

  • Responsible for budgets and forecasts for nominated businesses, working closely with operational managers and senior stakeholders on these.
  • Responsible for planning activities and the planning cycle: outputs, templates, timetable for AF business'.
  • Continually improve and develop robust financial procedures and processes, to future-proof the company's growth and to ensure efficiency.
  • Effective matrix manager and team player.
  • Extensive analysis relating to volumes, margins and the book for all AF business'.
  • Analysis relating to acquisitions and investment opportunities.
  • Flash reporting.
  • Product profitability analysis and reporting.
  • Presenting and explaining management information and working closely with, as well as supporting and advising, the senior management team across the business.
  • Systems admin, support and problem-solving involving the company's operational systems and harnessing technology to ensure the company's efficiency.
  • Involvement in year end audit, enabling a satisfactory audit and liaising with auditors and other external stakeholders.
  • The need to coordinate plans and activities with those of the wider finance team, where these are interdependent, so as to facilitate the smooth and timely operation of the functions of all areas.
  • Provision of support to the Divisional Finance Director in the delivery of an excellent finance function to the senior management team and stakeholders alike.
  • Acquiring knowledge of all finance department processes to include the production of management accounts for Affordable Funerals, in order to provide holiday and sickness cover for these functions.
  • Responsible for Inter Company reconciliations, accurate and timely sales reconciliation of operational reports, cash flow management and maintaining fixed asset registers.
  • Involvement in financial systems developments.
  • Support for payment runs.
  • Adhoc duties as requested by the Divisional Finance Director.

Profile

The successful candidate will be:

  • ACCA / CIMA qualified, PQ, Finalist,or QBE
  • Have several years of experience in a finance role
  • Be experienced using accounting software - experience using SAPbyD would be advantageous but not essential
  • An advanced level of general IT skills - particularly Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint
  • Have solid communication skills, both written and verbal
  • Have superior attention to detail, organisational skills and advanced planning and analytical skills
  • Will be honest, extremely confident, organised, proactive and innovative
  • Will be analytical with an excellent attention to detail
  • Will have experience of preparing management and financial accounts, planning, and analysis.
