Client Details

The client is a Public Sector organisation based in Liverpool. They deliver a range of health services across Liverpool and surrounding areas. They have members instead of shareholders to enable them to reinvest back into developing any new or existing services. They are a highly regarded organisation and offer a competitive benefits package alongside hybrid working. This role will enable you to be a member of the Executive Management Team and the Board.

Description

As the Director of Finance, you will report into the Chief Executive. Duties of the role will include but are not limited to, being fully accountable for all financial matters, providing advise to the board, implement and manage financial systems and controls, ensure accounts are produced in line with UK GAAP Accounting standards, manage and lead the team, deliver financial plans, ensure effective budget management, work with stakeholders across the organisation, monitor current and forecasted outcomes, ensure that the procurement and contracting functions are operated and developed effectively, ensure all effective controls are in place, reduce any levels of risk, be involved in identifying and sorting new opportunities for the organisation, deal with queries and other ad hoc duties.

Profile

The successful candidate will:

  • Be a Fully Qualified Accountant ESSENTIAL
  • Have worked/ reported into a Chief Executive previously ESSENTIAL
  • Have a proven track record of developing business strategies and working with stakeholders ESSENTIAL
  • Have worked in the Public Sector previously ESSENTIAL
  • Have lead strategic financial plans previously ESSENTIAL
