Project Accountant

I am exclusively partnering with a growing manufacturing business who are looking for a Project Accountant to join their team and report into the Financial Controller. This role will be responsible for various projects across the business such as profit improvement, waste analysis but also have responsibility for two smaller companies accounts, so there will be a nice blend between month end/ management accounts and project work.

Description

• Production of monthly financial accounts including Finance pack, P & L, balance sheet and cash flow
• Monitor actual expenditure against budgeted expenditure, report, challenge and investigate any variances
• Preparation of Budgets and Reforecasts
• Reconcile control accounts
• Prepare statutory accounts and year end schedules for audit and liaise with audit team
• Complete VAT returns
• Prepare monthly/weekly payment runs
• Cashflow forecasting
• Review, documentation and implementation of improvements to current internal controls
• Involvement in implementation of upgraded ERP system
• Adhoc reporting and project work as required
• Monthly management accounts preparation

Profile

• Qualified or QBE accountant
• Strong management accounts experience
• Ideally some project accounting experience, but this is not essential
• Ability to work in a fast paced environment and be flexible around responsibilities
• Some experience in a similar industry
• Strong systems experience and understanding
• Hold a valid driving license and access to a car

Job Offer

• Salary of up to £50,000 dependent on experience
