My client is a highly rewarding Public Sector organisation based in Newcastle looking for an Interim Financial Reporting Manager to join their team. My client is a public sector body that provides aid and opportunities to the community.
Description
The responsibilities of an Interim Financial Reporting Manager include but are not limited to the production of quality financial and management information, including reports to Director's Group, Board, other committees and internal and external stakeholders as required. Preparation of monthly financial performance data and quarterly and annual financial accounting information for inclusion in annual accounts and quarterly consolidation returns to the Agency's sponsor department. Provision of information to relevant Finance Business partners to provide a comprehensive monthly financial reporting pack to Directors, covering performance against delivery budgets, operating costs budgets and key financial metrics such as profit on disposals, average return from loans and equity investments. Work with the Senior Manager to ensure the financial systems are able to meet the management information needs, develop reporting processes used by the team to generate financial information and work with other Finance staff to reduce duplication and manual interventions.
Profile
The successful candidate will:
- Be a fully qualified accountant (ACCA/ACA/CIMA or CIPFA) ESSENTIAL
- Demonstrable track record in financial reporting and evidence of improvements made ESSENTIAL
- Advanced data interrogation and analytical skills ESSENTIAL
- Excellent report writing skills ESSENTIAL
- Experience of year-end or month-end accounts closure process ESSENTIAL
- Be immediately available or on a weeks notice period ESSENTIAL
- Have worked in a Public Sector organisation previously DESIRABLE
