An opportunity has arisen for a Lead Accountant to take up the position of General/Country Manager for a new accountancy practice/Tech SME expanding into the UK.
Client Details
My client are a start-up accounting firm based in London and New Zealand and who also build software (a Xero-based operating system). They are looking to expand further into the UK.They are a highly agile business with a global team who specialise in providing accounts/tax/advisory services to SMEs. A year ago they opened and adapted their software to the Australia market and have been growing very quickly since. This will be the first hire in the UK.Description
The Lead Accountant will be client-facing and on behalf of a client portfolio be responsible for the following:- Review annual accounts and ensure that all financial statements are prepared to the highest professional standard.
- Liaison between clients
- Provide business advice to clients and help them be more prosperous on their business journey
- Provide documented quality control function via review, follow up and resolution.
- Prepare tax summaries which put clients in the best tax position possible within the legal framework.
- Assist with practice management where required
