Senior Financial Accountant - £50,000 to £55,000 - Hybrid/Colchester Opportunity for an ambitious accountant

A leading UK business which has seen amazing growth UK and internationally over the last 5 years are looking to recruit a talented and highly ambitious qualified accountant to join the financial control team. The Senior Financial Accountant will enjoy working on a hybrid basis, the business has offices in Colchester and London.



Your new role
Senior Financial Accountant will be a qualified accountant with experience gained from either an audit/accountancy firm or within the commercial sector they will be analytical with experience of either auditing or preparing financial statements. T
As a Qualified member of the Group Controllership function you will be responsible for leading the preparation of quarterly financial statements, analysis of group results and working on key projects

• This role will involve creation of footnotes for annual consolidated financial statements
• Preparing requests from regional controllers, collecting, analysing and resolving any apparent discrepancies.
• Analyse, challenge and process edits, for draft financial statements, management discussions and analysis.
• Review and analysis of critical accounting areas, preparing journals for complex accounting transactions, which can include investment plans, acquisition, financing.
• Acquisition integration
• Coordination of the global statutory compliance process which involves liaising with internal and external partners
• Carrying out processes in relation to corporate audit controls. Plan, document, review controls periodically.
• Preparation/review of the Statutory Accounts for entities to ensure there is no inconsistency re disclosure, presentations.
• Interacting with auditors to assist with the annual audit on the annual financial statements
• Review, analyse and make recommendation for continuous process improvement.
