Payroll Manager
I'm currently working alongside a leading business in Southend in their recruitment of a Payroll Manager. The role is being recruited both on an interim basis and temp to perm with the perm equivalent salary being £35k-£50k based on experience.
Key Responsibilities of the Payroll Manager:
- To be in charge of two payrolls for circa 1000 + to include Tax/NI/Statutory payments
- Responsible for the production and reporting of payroll journals
- Responsible for payroll reporting and calculations
- Reconciliation of payroll payments and deductions
- HMRC dealings
- Resolving any queries swiftly
- Supervising a small team
- Supporting in internal and external audits
- Being up to date with and legislative changes to payroll
The successful candidate will have the following:
- Ideally CIPP Qualified
- End to end payroll experience of a large payroll is essential
- Proficient with Microsoft Excel
- Immediately available or on a short notice period
- Comfortable going into the office on a hybrid working model
- Knowledgeable on payroll and taxation laws
