Part time Financial Accountant role - charity - Swansea - 15 hours per week

Hays have a new exclusive role on - an exciting new permanent part-time role in the not-for-profit sector - a really interesting overseeing role in Swansea. Hybrid working from the start - this forward thinking charity has embraced flexible working and home working and has found it be highly productive as well as great for work/life balance. They are keen for someone who innovates, listens, gets involved in discussion and is naturally collaborative.

As a well respected not for profit organisation in the care sector they aim to be as person centred as possible. They manage their organisation in partnership with the people they support, their family members and their staff who support them. Their Business and Finance team understands the organisation very well, it has a well structured approach for financial reporting and management. To support its continued development it requires professional support and oversight to ensure the experienced Business and Finance Manager can resolve any problems that develop quickly and effectively and can serve the organisation's need for timely and adaptable financial performance information.

I am looking for a fabulous part-time Financial Accountant to help them and their stakeholders to understand and maximise the effectiveness of what they spend so that they can create the best outcomes for the people they serve.
● To supervise the Business and Finance Manager so that she can manage the financial accounting and reporting processes as required by the organisation
● To provide developmental support to the Chief Executive so that he can continue to develop the company's financial systems and policies.
● To work closely with the company's Auditors to resolve any issues that arise.
● To provide monthly and annual financial reports to the company's Board and Members in partnership with the Chief Executive.

We are looking ideally for an ACCA/CIMA/ACA qualified Accountant who will develop a passion for the charity and together with the Business and Finance Manager and the Chief Executive help guide it ever more effectively in developing its income and using its funds for the benefit of the people we serve.

The 15 hours per week can be worked flexibly (and can average 15 hours a week across the month) to ensure that the above tasks are completed, this will be explored with interested candidates.

The part time Financial Accountant will report to the Chief Executive.

Qualifications

▪ Ideally fully qualified Chartered Accountant (ACCA/CIMA/ACA). Minimum 5 years.
▪ Commercial and business experience
▪ Advantageous Charity/Care sector
▪ Exceptional communication skills at all levels
▪ Ability to handle pressure and critical decision making
▪ Experience of working with Sage 200 Accountancy Software or similar
