Your new company
A growing not-for-profit organisation with a deeply ethical history in its industry, based in Sunbury-On-Thames, West London, is looking to hire a new Financial Controller. This company is going through an exciting period of change, growth, and diversification. As the new Financial Controller you will report into the Finance Director with key responsibilities including the management of management information, financial controls, budgeting and statutory requirements.
Your new role
As the new Financial Controller, your responsibilities will include:
- Managing the timely and accurate preparation of monthly management accounts and financial accounts with valuable commentary and analysis
- Ensure and monitor the effective use of financial systems, control and procedures throughout the organisation
- Manage the annual budgeting process to be reviewed and approved by senior management
- Liaise with external auditors and prepare the annual statutory statements for the organisation and ensure all statutory requirements are met
- Support and advise senior management on financial issues including revenue / capital expenditure, taxation and VAT
What you'll need to succeed
To succeed here, you will be the following:
- A qualified accountant (ACA, ACCA, CIMA, etc)
- Experienced in preparing management accounts
- Ideally, experience in either change management or quality improvement / assurance
