Financial Accountant (Technical)

A Financial Accountant with experience of IFRS and GAAP

We currently have a number of roles in Reading (hybrid working) for permanent and interim Financial Accountants at all levels. The general duties that these roles encompass are below:-

• Manage the full process of preparing and filing local IFRS statutory accounts for the local statutory entities
• Build a good working relationship with the external auditors, managing their requests and responding to queries
• Prepare information for local corporate tax returns timely.
• Undertake full monthly reviews of the balance sheet and profit and loss accounts of each local entity, ensuring balance sheet accounts are fully reconciled.
• Guarantee the integrity of the local ledgers, ensuring the numbers are materially correct.
• Ensure all month end postings are made accurately.
• Manage the accounting and reconciliation for all bank transactions.
• Manage the posting and reconciliation of intercompany transactions.
• Build a good working relationship with non - Finance teams

Qualifications:

• Professional Accounting Qualification - ACA, CIMA, ACCA, CPA, with Degree level education.
• Directly related experience with a strong Technical Accounting background.
• Minimum of 5 years relevant experience in a multinational company.
• Working knowledge of IFRS, US and/or UK GAAP
• Strong computer skills utilising Microsoft Office, particularly Excel and PowerPoint
• Proficiency with global accounting software ERP packages, preferably SAP, and analytical tools such as CPM / Essbase.
